Sunny Bank

We had a wonderful stay at Sunny Bank with two children, the bungalow is lovely. It feels like everything is brand-new and we are the first people to stay there, everything was so clean!
We loved:
- The hot tub!
- The fluffy white towels
- The cleanliness
- The location
- The unexpected welcome hamper!
- The views
- The board games for the kids
There is loads to do in the area, we were here for a week and went to:
- Folly Farm
- Local beaches which are all fabulous, especially Llansteffan with the fish & chips
- The National Bird of Prey Centre
- Pembrey Country Park
- Gwili Steam Railway
- Tenby
I highly recommend staying here it is a wonderful place, really well located, and the hosts Hazel and High are so nice and have such a great attention to detail.

A lovely location.
My only comment is to take care on the local roads as some become impassable without warning.
Be careful using Waze!
Otherwise it was a great place, lovely hot-tub and very comfortable.

Our stay at great Welsh was great, we enjoyed our stay including clean and tidy bedrooms, fully stocked kitchen, beautiful garden, and amazing view. We also enjoyed hot tub. There were lots of things for kids and other things to play sports. Also host left us many things to eat and drink. Overall it was a perfect house and I recommend it if anyone wants to stay. We were given a warm welcome by the host.

The cleanest and most well equipped place we've ever stayed at. A beautiful and spaceous bungalow i'd have no hesitation in recommending. Friendly host checked in on us and showed us how to use the hot tub but was never intruding. Also gave us a beautiful hamper and bottle of wine. If we're ever staying in the area again I will book again.

Sunnybanks is in a wonderful location with stunning views across the Welsh countryside. Great base to visit beaches, walks and tourist attractions.
It's very well equipped with everything you could possibly need, like home from home! Sunnybanks was spotlessly clean, the rooms are very well decorated light and airy.
We had wonderful evenings playing games on the lawn and enjoying our meals al fresco.
We would definitely recommend, we shall be returning for another great break.

Everything, the bungalow had the 'Wow' factor in every way Hazel was very welcoming, the views were amazing, it is a real home from home was nice to just chill or explore if you wanted to will definitely stay again

It was much better than expected, host Hazel was helpful, friendly and provides more extras than we have ever seen. It exceeded our expectations and if we go to Wales in future would always look to stay here again .

We arrived to find a beautiful hamper of Welsh products and a warm welcoming home. Sunny bank has all the amenities you could need plus the luxuries of gowns and towels for the hot tub. The home was immaculately clean and a perfect place to come back to after a day out exploring the Welsh countryside. Hazel and her family went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, from popping in to show us how to work the hot tub to messaging to help me find a doctor for my daughter. She really makes every effort to ensure you have a wonderful time. Sunnybank is so peaceful and quiet, and if you enjoy the hot tub in the evenings it's a great spot to stargaze in the clear unpolluted skies.

Everything we could ask for and more, absolutely lovely place and such friendly hosts. Thank you.

I've stayed in many places on the UK and this was by far the best weekend I've ever had. There's far too much to list that was good, it literally had everything and so much more!

There's absolutely nothing I could say that I didn't like about this accommodation.

Amazing home from home with all you need and more, just with better views. This cottage has so much space and everything you could need. Great central location with little bits of magic like Llansteffan beach 10mins away. Also try the Fox n Hounds for Sunday lunch platter - yummy.
Hosts are just the best so treat this place with respect.

The relaxing and tranquil setting is fabulous. Waking up to the views is amazing and we are grateful. From the moment we walked in, it felt like home from home, fluffy towels, fresh linen on the bed, sumptuous hot hub, fully stocked kitchen and utility room. The cottage layout has been carefully considered for the guest and nothing is lacking, we had everything and some. Hazel and Hugh are lovely, very attentive and considerate. Just a text away for any advice or questions. Thanks again for checking in on us, it’s been a truly relaxing break, we will be back in the very near future.

This place is lovely spacious clean and well equipped .Hazel (the host ) popped past to make sure we had everything we needed and left us a lovely hamper. I will definitely return.if I had one very small negative comment it would be the booking in on line with great Welsh escapes .quite simple when Jess their employee guided me through the process and sending me a link to follow just a bit annoying as I booked it through Airbnb who already have all the details I repeated on the online booking form . Never the less this fabulous place was worth the extra form to fill in thank you very much hazel

Sunnybank is to be highly recommended, Hazel was an amazing host & left us a beautiful welcome basket of goodies, it was much appreciated. Location is great, just what we wanted, nice & peaceful & the hot tub was very welcome after a long day exploring. Bed was so comfortable & the accessible shower & handrails were much appreciated by my husband.

Es war eine sehr schöne Zeit. Schon der Empfang mit einem Korb mit walisischen Lebensmitteln und Getränken im Kühlschrank war außergewöhnlich und sehr erfreulich. Der Kontakt zu den Gastgebern war sehr nett. Das Haus ist extrem sauber und schön eingerichtet. Die Küche ist vollständig eingerichtet, es fehlt einfach nichts.

Das ganze Haus ist behindertengerecht gebaut, so auch die Badezimmer.

Alles ist wie auf den Bilder und sehr zu empfehlen.

Eine sehr gute Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage, mitten in der Natur mit toller Aussicht und ideal für viele Tagestouren.

Wir waren sechs Nächte dort und haben noch lange nicht alles gesehen.

The property was extremely cosy and stocked up with all the essentials needed! The hot tub was perfect and the location was great as very secluded yet 12 mins drive from local shops!
Hazel was very helpful leaving notes and recommendations for places to go with the kids!
The beds were super comfortable and I would highly recommend staying here!

Sunny Bank is an outstanding place to stay for a short or long break as it is remarkably well equipped with everything you require.

Immaculate throughout, extremely spacious making it easily accessible for disabled and wheelchair users .

Outside, the gardens are accessible, there are seating areas with extensive views across the countryside.

A hot tub to relax in the day or night ..just perfect.

On arrival we were pleasantly surprised with the
"Welcome Hamper" and Fresh goods milk ,juice eggs etc .
This was a delightful thought and very much appreciated. Thank you Huw and Hazel for all your help.

Brilliant place to stay for a relaxing break away. Secluded enough to feel away from people but close enough drives to villages/towns.
The house was immaculate and much bigger than i anticipated from the photos. Comfy beds and nice to have a lounge separate from the kitchen.
We took our 9 month old with us and they had everything we needed such as travel cot, high chair, bath seat, all the way to spoons/bowls/swim nappies and more.
The hot tub was an added bonus, was lovely to sit in at night and relax listening to..well the silence!
Could not fault this place at all and will definitely return

Attended for 2 nights as a valentines gift for my girlfriend. Absolutely beautiful location, owners were so friendly and the house was absolutely immaculate not a spec of dust. Everything we needed and more lots of amenities house is in a great location hottub was so clean the house smelt amazing. Can't praise this place enough. Extremely reasonable price we will be coming back for sure!

Our stay at Sunnybank was just perfect. The location was unbelievable, peaceful and quiet and the view of fields upon fields was incredible.
The hosts were brilliant, very informative, left us to it but made it clear if we needed anything at all not to hesitate to ask.
They had everything you can imagine there for you, the place was spotless and a gorgeous welcome hamper on arrival made our stay.
We did some beautiful local walks, and the hot tub was an absolute bonus. Especially at night with the clear skies.
We can’t wait to come back to Sunnybank again! Highly recommended and unbelievable for the price!!

Hazel really does go above and beyond, we stayed for a romantic weekend and the house is so quiet and serene and peaceful. Hazel popped round on our arrival to show us everything and talk us through the local things to see and do, really super helpful. The hot tub is simple to use, the surroundings are beautiful, clear sky for sunset in the horizon as well as completely clear starry nights.

Pendine beach is beautiful (pic below) we also drove a bit further up to New Quay where we hopped on a boat trip and saw lots of dolphins! 🐬 If you have children, we definitely recommend Folly Farm. We had a great stay with Hugh and Hazel. They'd put a lot of effort into making the home as welcoming to all (including supplies for rainy days). It was comfortable, well stocked (beyond what I'd normally expect) and they'd left us with plenty of recommendations. Couldn't fault them!

Hugh and hazels place was so lovely felt so private and really did think of everything we may need to spare toiletries to milk and battery’s. The welcome hamper was a lovely surprise and the hot tub was 10/10. We felt like we were the first guests in the place was that clean! Thank you both again

This was our first ever Air bnb experience. And it most certainly exceeded our expectations. The place is perfect for a little family holiday and have plenty to do within a 30 min drive of the place. There’s even plenty to do in the lodge also with a spacious hot tub, games and crafts for the kids, outside toys etc.

The host is wonderful and can’t do enough. Every little detail has been thought about and the cleanliness of the place is amazing. The lovely hamper, Easter egg and balloons for my son and partner birthdays was a really sweet touch.

Hot tub is amazing! Views are amazing! The lodge is amazing! This place is just amazing. And I’ve told all my friends and family that they need a little trip here.

It was absolutely beautiful. Clean and bright and everything you thought you’d need they had it. Beautiful bathroom, bedrooms, kitchen and lounge it was exceptional. The host Hazel was so attentive, she came up to ensure we arrived safely. The attention to detail within the home was outstanding. We had a welcome hamper & a bottle of Prosecco with a greeting card. We have a baby & she had made sure there was everything we needed for him even down to baby bath sponges, baby soap & sudocrem!



The hot tub was amazing, all the beds were really comfortable, so much space within the bungalow and it was spotless when we arrived. We could not have asked for a better stay and we will 100% be back when we visit family in Wales again!

We highly recommend Sunny Bank to anyone who wants beautiful countryside views, a very well stocked and equipped kitchen, lots of living space and all the comforts of home. All within easy access of stunning beaches, beautiful gardens and picturesque towns.
The hosts really do care about their guests and it shows. We hope to be back some day.
We would happily give Sunny Bank SIX stars if we could, but the rating system won’t let us!

Many, many thanks to Hazel and Hugh for a lovely stay in your beautiful cottage. From the moment we arrived we felt right at home. The cottage was completely immaculate, making us feel like we were the first guests ever to stay there. Walking through into the kitchen, we were greeted with delicious Welsh goodies in a thoughtful and much appreciated welcome-hamper, (including milk and juice in the fridge for the all-important post-travelling cuppa), and this pretty much set the tone for the perfect break-away!
From the super-comfy beds, which induced us all to lie-in of a morning, to the fabulous hot-tub with breathtaking views, which allowed us quality re-connecting time as a family with two teenagers, Sunnybank Cottage was perfect for a relaxing break as a family. We genuinely couldn't have asked for me - thank you for sharing your beautiful corner of the world with us.

Can prepare our own food like at home. All the facilities were provided. Really enjoyed the hot tub. friendly owners.

Cannot rate this property highly enough. Great Welsh Escapes were very communicative and the host left a beautiful hamper as well as chocolates and a bottle of Prosecco! What an unexpected treat and given the condition and quality of the accommodation not even necessary. The property was filled to the brim with thoughtful household necessities. Can not say enough about how amazing this stay was! From the moment we arrived we felt comfortable and right at home. Hazel was very welcoming and made sure we were ok and had everything we needed. She also gave some great recommendations on where to go to eat and and explore!
We stayed near valentines and on arrival was a beautiful welcome basket and valentines balloons, along with a valentines teddy! Such a lovely surprise!
The cottage was immaculate and all the little homely touches really made it even more special.
I could go on all day. We have already booked to stay for longer in the summer and along with the children! We can’t wait!

The location is remote but perfect. Stunning bungalow with amazing and tranquil views from every window and the most well equipped air BnB I have ever stayed in. Honestly we did not want for anything. From a bbq, fans, torches, shower items, robes, towels - you name it. And the hot tub just topped it off!!
We struggled to get in touch with Welsh Escapes for check in info.
But please rest assured, Hazels place is well worth the money and Hazel is super friendly and super helpful. And the communication initially is with Welsh Escapes and not Hazel directly.

Fantastic… just fantastic. Lovely quiet location with amazing views of countryside. The property is amazing, very spacious and the hot tub was the cherry on top. Lovely hosts who popped by to say hi and recommend a local beach. Can’t wait to visit again.

We stayed at Sunny Bank over the school Easter holidays. Two adults and our children 6 and 3. Plenty of information was sent in advance making finding the accommodation easy. We arrived to find a beautiful hamper of Welsh products and a warm welcoming home. Sunny bank has all the amenities you could need plus the luxuries of gowns and towels for the hot tub. The home was immaculately clean and a perfect place to come back to after a day out exploring the Welsh countryside. Hazel and her family went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, from popping in to show us how to work the hot tub to messaging to help me find a doctor for my daughter. She really makes every effort to ensure you have a wonderful time. Sunnybank is so peaceful and quiet, and if you enjoy the hot tub in the evenings it's a great spot to stargaze in the clear unpolluted skies.

I cannot big this properly up enough, the hosts left a lovely welcome basket which was a very lovely and personal touch, Hazel made us feel welcome on arrival and checked everything was okay for us. The property was very cosy and extremely clean, there was robs and towels left for us to use for the hot tub, anything you could think of that you would have needed or wanted was at the property. The property is located in a private area which was amazing for the evenings, however there was an abundance of things for us to do and see through the days just a short drive from the property. There was plenty of restaurants around a ten minute drive away to choose from too. We loved the properly so much we booked an extra nights stay which was so easy to do through the sight. We have already highly recommend the property to friends and family and would surely book the property in the future.
