Every step of the booking process was joyously simplistic and it's great to see that personal customer service of this quality still exists today. The Cottage, Laugharne offers a huge, warm Welsh cwtsh. Set on the stunning estuary, the house with its magnificent rooms and facilities is an absolute gem, for groups and families. Highly recommended!

Stayed in Great Welsh Escapes for two days and had a lovely time. The owner would message regularly asking if everything’s okay and the farm owner Richard on site was very helpful.

Sea Gem is truly a gem. The views from the kitchen are absolutely stunning and for our purposes the home was the perfect companion. We had a lot of fun figuring out how to work a UK washer/dryer! All of the rooms were comfortable and as described.

The neighborhood itself was also a gem; quiet and friendly. Loved waving to our neighbors as we were walking up/down the hill for our Tenby excursions.

Wales itself was a beautiful experience, we hope to come back soon.

A stunning house in a stunning location- what is there not to love?! We had a fantastic time at the Cors - the house is beautiful, a real mix of old-fashioned charm and modern elegance, perfect for a weekend away.

Jac was extremely helpful before, during and after our visit - I can’t recommend this place enough. We will be back!

We had such an amazing stay. The house is even better in real life and the kitchen is set up so well that cooking is a real pleasure. Any glitches were sorted immediately and everyone we met in Laugherne was so friendly (especially in Poon’s) - it was great being able to walk to get food/coffee etc. The pool was a perfect temperature and when the sun was out it felt like we were in Italy. Comfortable beds, incredible bathrooms and a cosy snug for when it rained. Perfect.

A lovely home in a nice village close to local pubs, shops, restaurants and costal walks. We really enjoyed the home and will be back again. A visit to the castle with the kids is also great fun. Would highly recommend.

Superb accommodation and location. Beautifully decorated and furnished, you pay a little more for this type of accommodation, but it really is worth it. My children, normally very fussy, adored their bedrooms and the whole house, which is full of character. Ideally placed within the village, and whilst there is no parking with the property, we never had a problem finding a parking space within a few footsteps, even in the school holidays. Pubs and restaurants are within a stone throw, and all are excellent. It's a very relaxing village, with beautiful walks, and superb beaches within easy travelling distance. We love the area, and will be back.

The Cottage is incredible and I would love to go back in the Summer and make even more use of the outdoor space. The dogs absolutely loved it from arrival to departure. Spacious, clean, warm and delightful.

The house was amazing we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. My daughter loved the Jacuzzi, myself and my wife love cooking so the kitchen was without doubt perfect and as a family entertainment wise the TV was perfect to relax chill and enjoy a few Xmas movies. I would definitely be back again !

We enjoyed a lovely week at this beautiful cottage! Plenty of space for kids and dog both inside and outside. It was just a short drive to Freshwater West beach for awesome sand, surfing and rock pools. Would definitely recommend for a family holiday.

Would stay again. The Owner of the house (Ros) was extremely helpful! We had a few issues with the hot water going down, but Ros got someone out straight away the it was fixed with hours! She couldn't do enough for us, would love to stay again.

We chose The Cors as a group of friends with small children to spend our New Years celebrations.
Everything about it was perfect from start to finish!
Ideal location for lovely dog walks (which were even lovely in the rain) a beautiful garden to admire and an immaculate house full to the brim with everything and more than you need!
The pictures really don’t do it justice, it’s a must to visit!
Jac as a host went above and beyond from start to finish for us, from answering questions before our arrival to going out of his way to replace items whilst we were there!

This is a beautiful and very characterful house! It is tastefully quirky and a perfect place to spend time with family or friends. A few great pubs and a lovely Thai within walking distance too! Recommended!

I booked for 3 nights but only stayed for 2 due to the job I was doing getting complete a day early.
The property was spotless, and we we're greeted at the gate by the host, which made things even simpler than how the photos show how to get into the house.
The house had everything you'd need for a lengthy stay. Shops and local amenities are about 5 mins away by car, 15 walking.
Can't comment on local pubs and restaurants as I never ventured out after being in the cold all day at work

Truly amazing place to stay which makes you feel like Lord and Lady of the Manor and a garden befitting a stately home, but eclectic and personal too. Full of art, but expect a few rough edges as you'd expect from a period property.

A brilliant place to stay, superbly quiet but just a short drive into Laugharne and a great base for exploring the rest of Carmarthenshire. Really well appointed home and perfect for four adults and two kids. Really made our holiday.

Lovely spacious and well equipped house in a beautiful setting. It offered everything we needed to settle in and relax for a long weekend, with the ability to verge out for local walks to the beach and castle. Would recommend for large groups - great outdoor area as well as large drive for parking.

A beautiful cottage right in the centre of Laugharne. Beautifully clean and everything there we needed, including some beautifully fresh bread and butter on arrival, after a 3 hour journey it was most welcome.

We had a wonderful stay, the house was great and provided a comfy and cozy base to explore West Wales from.

We had the most wonderful week at The Barn and Chaffhouse. Such a beautiful property, and amazingly well equipped! Every little detail had been thought of - plentiful supply of crockery, cutlery and (very importantly) wine glasses! Large, thick, soft towels. Powerful showers. Full suite of modern appliances. Beautiful log burner with wood supplied (although the heating was so good we only lit it once for effect!). Excellent wifi, smart tv with Netflix. Great views over surrounding countryside and we were lucky to see some action on the firing range - we didn’t find this noisy or intrusive at all, just exciting! Garden is nicely enclosed and really well kept. All in all, cannot fault this place. Looking forward to a return visit.

Our stay at The Old School House in Carmarthenshire was unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place was something special.
The open-plan kitchen and dining area, with underfloor heating and a boiling water tap, was impressive, and we were greeted with a lovely hamper.
The living room had a cosy sofa facing an 83-inch OLED TV with a great sound system. Every detail in the bedrooms, bathrooms, and en-suites was finished to the highest standard.
The hot tub was a perfect way to end the day, and it was here my partner proposed—I’m happy to say, I said yes!
The house is easy to find, with ultra-fast gigabit broadband and immaculate cleanliness.
We truly loved our stay and look forward to returning one day. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

Located among rolling fields, with free-roaming sheep and winding mountain roads, Wildhaven offers complete tranquility from everyday living - quiet nights save the sound of local wildlife: unpolluted night skies to gaze upon the stars; and plenty of hikes, trails, forests, and mountains to enjoy all no further than an hour’s drive away.

Coupled with its charming features and modern comforts, and superb, communicative hosts, it had everything we needed for a perfect trip away from it all.

(FYI stores and amenities are likely further away than you’ll be used to (especially during lockdown, nearest supermarket is about 25-30 min drive), and WiFi and phone signal really is intermittent and poor around Wildhaven. Come prepared for a digital detox!)

The enclosed garden was great. Our dogs really enjoyed running around. Plenty of parking spaces. Room for 3 cars. The verandas were fab. Plenty of room on both verandas. The property was large enough for plenty of people and very cosy. The 2 bathrooms were a bonus.

The only downside was the little bit of road going to the property was quite bumpy and the cold water tap wasn’t working in the main bathroom shower but could be easily rectified.

Overall, great place to stay at. The pictures appeared as if the property was very spacious however the rooms were smaller than we expected.

The property and grounds surpassed all expectations. Everything was spotless, the amenities are fantastic, including the hottub with outstanding views. The grounds are perfect for an explorative toddler with a lot of energy.
We cannot recommend this place enough and will definitely be back soon!

A superb period house which has been beautifully restored with an eye for detail. Everything provided was of the highest standard and spotlessly clean. The house is extremely well equipped and spacious. Michelle, our host, was a mine of information about the history of Gwalia House, Laugharne and the surrounding area. Lovely walks and plenty of places to eat and drink on the doorstep. Everything you would expect from a 5* property and a lot, lot more.

We all had such a lovely time we truly didn't want to leave & could have happily stayed for a few more days. We will recommend it to friends & family, it felt just like home from home.

Our stay at Sunnybank was just perfect. The location was unbelievable, peaceful and quiet and the view of fields upon fields was incredible.
The hosts were brilliant, very informative, left us to it but made it clear if we needed anything at all not to hesitate to ask.
They had everything you can imagine there for you, the place was spotless and a gorgeous welcome hamper on arrival made our stay.
We did some beautiful local walks, and the hot tub was an absolute bonus. Especially at night with the clear skies.

We had a really good stay at The Barn and Chaffhouse. The accommodation is well decorated and comfortable. Nice welcome park on arrival including tea and coffee. Dishwasher tablets were appreciated.

1) provide more cleaning products. It’s turn easier to keep the place clean. E.g lichen spray, kitchen roll.
2) please provide some more bowls for breakfast and replace chipped crockery.

This was a beautiful home provided by lovely owners. It was clean, bright and there were delightful personal touches like wee chocolates for the kids, fresh eggs and honey plus a high hair and beds for the wee ones, complete with cuddly toys (which wasn’t expected!) I’d definitely stay there again. The owners had a cute doggie that was pals with our dog too. We were all sad to leave. Highly recommend the peaceful country stay.

What a wonderful, peaceful experience we have had staying here at Old Oak Barn, the cottage is beautiful, picturesque walking grounds surround the barn. Look out for the little surprises! We had a fantastic stay as a family of 7 + 1 dog. The house was absolutely spotless and everything was so well thought out to make our stay relaxing and comfortable. Laura was a brilliant host always on hand if we needed anything but never intrusive. The hot tub was a lovely addition and having a roof over it meant we could use it whatever the weather. We will definitely be visiting again.

Location allows trips to Pembrokshire / Brecon Beacons / Gower in around ~1h one-way - we found it very convenient.
Interior is to very high standard, farm environment is marvellous. The place is great value for money indeed!

Everything. No issues with the property whatsoever, it’s just so nice and the hosts were so friendly and helpful as well. The welcome pack was very nice and much appreciated. It’s in such a quiet location, you could hear a pin drop when sitting outside.

We fell in love with the Farmhouse and the views. On rainy days we stayed in the cozy home and relaxed. On sunny days we hiked and explored castle ruins. An amazing Welsh property

Ein wunderschönes Haus auf einer Ebene zwischen dem Meer und dem Nationalpark. Alles vorhanden was man benötigt. Das Fenster im Wohnzimmer ist der Hammer. Der Garten ist nicht zu 100% eingezäunt, aber mit etwas Fantasie kann man ihn "Hundeausbruchsicher" machen.

We had a lovely stay at this property, which is even cosier than it appears in photos. The radiators warmed up to heat the house very quickly during the cold weather.

Beds were really comfy, and we all slept beautifully!

It's a great base for exploring Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Laugharne was a lovely town to return to in the evenings after long days out sightseeing.

Great Welsh escapes were really responsive and communicative to meet all our needs before and during the visit.

On street parking was challenging at times, but we're very used to this at home!

What a perfect apartment, great location, superbly comfortable, stylishly furnished & decorated, all the facilities we could need. Definitely worth a return visit.

Initially awkward to find, the parking space was very narrow, toilet roll holder in awkward position.

A lovely, modern cottage right in the heart of Laugharne, Chapel View is a good size for two, with a patio garden that is a real sun trap in the morning. Luckily we had great weather so didn’t spend that much time indoors but for those not so fortunate the cottage is a very nice place to be. Easy to book through Great Welsh Escapes who provide plenty of support and who attended to a minor issue we had speedily and efficiently.

We had a great time at this amazing house for my 30th birthday! The house is huge and the swimming pool made our trip. It is so close to the village of Laugharne about a 5 minute walk if that, lots to do in the local area. We really appreciated the special touches the host provided, gifting us a balloon and Prosecco for the celebrations! Would not hesitate to come back again 😀

We have had the most amazing time at Cliff Haven for my daughters Birthday. The view is breathtaking, the property has everything we needed. We are sad to leave & will definitely book again! 5*. Thank you! X

the perfect half term holiday break for me, my wife, our 13 year old and dog. Matt, the host, couldn't have been more responsive, or helpful. The property itself was idyllic, matched only by the breathtaking countryside. Scenic beach walks less than half an hour's drive away. A swimming pool and sauna less than half a minute's stroll away. We are now back in London and already want to return....

It was a beautiful house and with all the amenities anyone could ask for. It really felt as if we were staying in someone's home. Everything you could think of was in the ktichen. It made it very nice to be able to cook home meals there. The view is spectacular from the sun deck and the local town of Laugharne was super friendly. We loved it. highly recommend.

If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday in a well equipped, extremely comfortable apartment look no further. Nestled high up on the side of a hill it offers wonderful views of the sea and countryside. The apartment has everything you need and more so you don’t have to compromise on the way you spend your holiday. We cooked in a lot which was easy because of the the way the kitchen was equipped - there was nothing missing.

Our second time at a Great Welsh Escape’s property. Had a lovely time in a beautiful recently refurbished barn.

Our dog also loved the enclosed garden that wrapped around the property.

There a is a beautiful beach 5min down the road, got in a few good walks even in February. Can imaging in summer it would be a daily trip.

We had a superb 10 days at Yr Hen Feudy in Llandybie, which completely lived up to our expectations. Our hosts greeted us and showed us around, and nothing was too much trouble. We were grateful for the thoughtful little creature comforts which made our destination into a 'home from home', as well as all the information relating to the area and places of interest. We were blessed with lovely weather as well, enabling us to enjoy walking in the Brecon Beacons as well as along Rhosili Bay. Our Great Welsh Escape provided a much needed opportunity to unplug, rest and relax, restoring both mind and soul. Thank you very much.

A wonderful, grand, lovely home. Sprawling yet cozy with wonderful details, creaking, undulating amazing wood floors, big window, period furniture…on and on. Really a treat. The pool is a nice option which we enjoyed often as we visited during quite a warm time. Enjoyed nightly dinners on the lovely top terrace. Property is exactly as it is described on the site.

A wonderful house in a great location.

We found the kitchen well equipped and spacious and the lounge cosy in the evenings. Beds were comfy and we used all 3 bedrooms. The location is good with easy access to walking paths. Laugharne was quieter than we had anticipated for early July and not all businesses were open, e.g. the fish and chip shop was open at lunchtime but closed in the evening. As other reviewers have commented, we did not find it possible to park in the street near the house during our stay. We used the washing machine and an outdoor washing line would have been useful.
There is a garden/outside space but we didn’t use it as we didn’t have great weather.
Great Welsh Escapes were easy to contact and helpful. We would happily book via them again if we were to revisit Wales.

Such a lovely apartment! Perfectly situated for exploring the coast, but also cosy enough for hunkering down and getting cozy in bad weather! The apartment was easy to check into and the complex is really peaceful. Saundersfoot is a gorgeous friendly place definitely worth staying in.

Not one thing I can complain about

Had an absolutely wonderful time at Sunny Bank, an idyllic and private with every single thing you can imagine. We were provided with a full tea service and dinner set, basics for breakfast, bathrobes and towels for the stay as well as towels for the hot tub. I honestly think every possible amenity was thought about and provided. The cottage is on a family farm and you have complete privacy, esp in the hot tub which made the stay perfect for us.
The owners live down the road and when we told them the engine light had come on, on the car, and we needed to find a garage they came over and sorted the car, we needed oil but they also added screen wash and coolent and gave further advice. They went above and beyond.
You also don't have to worry about the hot tub, they come and treat it for you daily.
These are truly good people

A truly beautiful place in a very peaceful spot. You do need a car to get about and there are lovely villages and beaches to visit. The house is perfect even if the weather is so bad, it is a perfect place to relax.

100% recommend staying at Moir Cottage. Lovely place! Beds were comfy, hot tub was incredible and it had everything we needed.

We enjoyed staying at the bungalow in Pendine and using it as a base to visit the surrounding attractions and beautiful countryside of Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Mona and Graham were excellent hosts. The property was perfect for our needs very clean and homely, modern inside set in beautifully kept grounds and garden, quiet and relaxing.

An amazing place and a fabulous apartment. It felt like home from home, apartment was clean and well stocked. Location is great and we were very lucky with the weather. We will be back to explore more. Thanks for sharing your apartment with us.

A privilege to stay in this arts & crafts period house full of eclectic art and decor and to enjoy the imaginatively sculptured garden full of secret areas and massive plants. It felt like we had paid an entrance fee to look around and had to remind ourselves that we were actually staying here!

We enjoyed every minute of our stay from the welcome hamper in the kitchen which was a lovely surprise to the hot tub out the back which we enjoyed.Hazel even popped over after we had checked in to make sure everything was fine for us which was very nice of her,the area was very quiet and peaceful with the lovely views ideal for a relaxing holiday especially with Tenby just 25 minute's drive away we will definitely be booking again next year

Our stay at great Welsh was great, we enjoyed our stay including clean and tidy bedrooms, fully stocked kitchen, beautiful garden, and amazing view. We also enjoyed hot tub. There were lots of things for kids and other things to play sports. Also host left us many things to eat and drink. Overall it was a perfect house and I recommend it if anyone wants to stay. We were given a warm welcome by the host.

We had a great weekend away. Huge house, with big bedrooms, with extensive gardens - great for big family gatherings, especially if you are planning eating outside!

Steep drive to the property.

The property was exceptionally clean, beautiful decor and had everything we could have possibly needed and more . The bed was comfortable, we had a beautiful sea view and just a 10 minute stroll down to the beach and shops/restaurants/bars.

This was our first ever Air bnb experience. And it most certainly exceeded our expectations. The place is perfect for a little family holiday and have plenty to do within a 30 min drive of the place. There’s even plenty to do in the lodge also with a spacious hot tub, games and crafts for the kids, outside toys etc.

The host is wonderful and can’t do enough. Every little detail has been thought about and the cleanliness of the place is amazing. The lovely hamper, Easter egg and balloons for my son and partner birthdays was a really sweet touch.

Hot tub is amazing! Views are amazing! The lodge is amazing! This place is just amazing. And I’ve told all my friends and family that they need a little trip here.

We will definitely be coming back here soon! Thank you!

Beautiful converted barn. Kitchen has everything you need. We took some of our bits and bobs but they were not needed. Welcome hamper was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend to friends and family if they are after a relaxing stay. Please thank Don & Daniela for our lovely chocolates.

Our stay was very nice to have some relaxing down time with family the weather was very kind to us although the forecast was poor the bungalow was very clean plenty of kitchen utensils for those who wish to cook fantastic views of the castle and estuary there are some very nice places to eat in the village. The only thing we couldn’t find was a mop as one day it had rained so you can mop the floor and it mentioned that there was a dryer in the utility?? One other thing as it took us over four hours to get from the Midlands we didn’t have a problem getting in at 4pm but we all thought to make sure we were packed and left the house as we found it 10am check out is a little early we didn’t even have time for breakfast before our long journey 12pm would have been more convenient and less stressful

Stayed at Chapel View. A few teething problems as brand new but dealt with brilliantly and quickly by GWE and the lovely owners who live next door. Beautiful cottage - didn’t want to leave!!! And would hugely recommend local walks and a trip to Pendine Sands. And Tapas from the Ferryman which is 2 doors down!!

Lovely great big house filled with great stuff, something interesting in every corner!
Ideally located for walking the coast path, visiting the many beaches or nipping down to walk by the estuary with the dogs.
The Village is good too with many pubs and restaurants and useful store.
We really enjoyed the pool and deck and the sunny terrace.
The dining room is very special.

I stayed at The Cors Country House with my family for 4 nights in early September 2021 and I would 100% recommend it to anyone! The Cors is a really stunning place to stay - the house is full of character and very comfortable with lots of fun 'extras' like the pool room, the cinema room and lots of games - and the garden is enormous and very tranquil and beautifully kept! The owners were also very hospitable and responsive and suggested many 'hidden gems' in the nearby area for us to explore, which we loved! We would definitely come back to the Cors or one of the other holiday properties that are available from Great Welsh Escapes - it's a great local company and we 100% recommend them! The cottage exceeded our expectations. The cottage was very clean with lovely interior design. The welcome pack was very much appreciated. Fantastic location, quiet but within a few minutes to the hub of the town.

A beautiful and comfortable flat with everything you could need. The flat is near the centre of Saundersfoot and has a beautiful view of the bay. It is very peaceful with easy access to the coast path for walks. I would be happy to stay here again.

Every single small detail had been considered. So peaceful with stunning views. Glorious sunrise and sunsets. Very comfortable. Will definitely stay again.

We LOVED York Lodge - Laugharne is beautiful and although I didn't know much about Dylan Thomas before I went, reading his 'Poem in October' written on his 30th birthday; whilst walking his 'birthday walk' (in October) and seeing what he was looking at and referring to was one of the most moving experiences. The emotion of it took me by surprise! The views are out of this world and a short walk from York Lodge. I am SO glad we came here and will most definitely come back again.

Had a lovely New years Eve stay in this property, the house is very well equipped and has lovely decor , the beds are so comfortable, the property was spotless and would recommend this house

This house is amazing! So much character and huge grounds. We loved every minute and Jac is wonderful to work with!

We had a 3 night stay at Dylan's Den in Laugharne and it was amazing. 4 well appointed en-suite bedrooms and a lovely cosy lounge area and kitchen. Plenty of room for the 7 of us (and our dog)
We were also left a comprehensive welcome pack which was gratefully received. If you haven't been to Laugharne then you really should add it to your list of places to visit. Wonderful.
Jac was very communicative throughout our stay, checking in that all was well, which of course it was, but it we still appreciated the fact he cared. We would love to return to Laugharne one day and would certainly aim to stay at Dylan's Den when we do..Thanks again.

What three words is very useful. Walking boots and all weather jackets are good things to keep.
It is recommended to buy things before checking in as Superstore is few miles.

Excellent luxury property in a lovely little village. Property has been decorated to a very high quality and our only regret was we didn’t stay longer!
