Location was great..across the road there was a path to the beach...the nearby Saundersfoot was a 7 min walk and had lot's of eateries (although very busy just now) but beach had room for deckchairs etc...fab!



The apartment was gorgeous and decorated and furnished to a high standard..everything you required was available -plus more!



Owners had left fresh goodies and Prosecco a lovely touch, for our arrival...:)

The Old School is a really beautiful building. It was also very clean with lovely fixtures and fittings which made our stay both comfortable and relaxing - the house is in a quiet location near both countryside and the coast. The beds were really comfy and the kitchen well-stocked - we eat in most evenings because of Covid and really enjoyed the spaciousness of the house.

The house was great - so beautiful - the different spaces suited the needs of three generations and 7 people, with lots of places to hang out in. Everywhere was very spacious and cosy, with lots of interesting art work on the walls. We felt some of the furniture was looking a bit tired and could do with a bit of an overhaul.
It was a great location, with lots of interesting walks on the door step and a beach with cafes a 10 minute drive away. We had a fantastic meal at Dexters at Browns, moments from the house and there were enough shops in the town to pick up a few bits and peaces.

Lovely bungalow with extensive garden just a shame it’s not gated to make it safer for dogs and children. Handy position close to the village of Laugharne. Would gladly stay again. Great to have Jac on the end of the phone if needed. A lovely personal touch.

It was a cosy cabin,did barbeque and bonfire,Really quiet and remote to be in nature and do star gazing at night,close by beaches so good location.
Also had a fireplace and equipped kitchen with two beds and baths.

This is an excellent property, superbly located for all the local facilities and three minutes walk to Browns Hotel with the excellent Dexters Steak House and the simply superb Poons Thai restaurant. The cottage has newly fitted high quality fixtures and fittings and clearly the owners wish to provide a great experience for clients. It is well located and has all the facilities listed although I would point out that whilst the rear garden is certainly secure for pets it is made up of a shale base and a raised bark covered bed that is quite steep.
The communication both with GWE and the owners was excellent with a couple of issues addresses with great speed and efficiency. Thank you.

The property and grounds surpassed all expectations. Everything was spotless, the amenities are fantastic, including the hottub with outstanding views. The grounds are perfect for an explorative toddler with a lot of energy.
We cannot recommend this place enough and will definitely be back soon!

We had a lovely week here. It is a genuinely stunning cottage and everything inside is of the highest standard and quality - just as the description suggests. It is luxurious and 5 star. It is also very quiet and peaceful (the heart of the Welsh countryside!), though we were woken up by cows on a couple of mornings! Location is excellent for Pendine (beautiful long and sandy beach) and Laugharne (quaint town with castle), each a 5 minute drive away. However, the heart of Pembrokeshire (Tenby, Saundersfoot etc) is a good 25-35 min drive away and so a car is essential. We had a few issues with the TVs but I'm sure it will be sorted for future guests. Overall we would highly recommend this cottage.

Lovely little house, beautifully decorated and equipped and everything was good quality. Log burner was wonderful to come home to after long windy walks in the beautiful local area.

My wife and I haven't been away since April and a short break is just what we needed. This property is amazing, right in the heart of Laugharne with parking outside. It was perfect for what we wanted and we only used the car once to go and visit Pendine beach. We ate in Arthur's which we really enjoyed, the Portreeves and had Sunday lunch in Browns Hotel. We can see why Dylan Thomas was so fond of this place. Thanks to our hosts

It was a beautiful house and with all the amenities anyone could ask for. It really felt as if we were staying in someone's home. Everything you could think of was in the ktichen. It made it very nice to be able to cook home meals there. The view is spectacular from the sun deck and the local town of Laugharne was super friendly. We loved it. highly recommend.

Stayed for a week with my family over the summer. The Hidden Valley is beautiful - newly decorated, super comfy sofas and beds, kitchen fully equipped (they have thought of everything!), and the snug is a real bonus. It was fantastic to walk out of the bedroom door in the morning and enjoy the spectacular view. I'm a keen stargazer, and the dark skies were an absolute wonder. Got some great photos of the Milky Way and it was a real treat using my telescope. Location-wise, there are so many gorgeous beaches nearby (Tenby, Saundersfoot, Wisemans Bridge, Manorbier and Barafundle were our favourites), lots to do for the kids and for adults, and plenty of places to stock up on amenities just a short drive away. Loved every minute, thank you for a fantastic week!

Stayed at the Cors Country House for a weekend with my family. The people at Great Welsh Escapes were really helpful in booking the house and recommending activities for us to do over the weekend. I'd happily recommend these guys to anyone else and would use them again in the future. Thanks!

This was a really wonderful place to stay. It was the perfect balance of feeling cosy and homely while also feeling like you’re in a professionally run accommodation (no personal items around, fresh rolled towels on the bed, all the essential soap/shampoo/cleaning products/kitchen items/seasonings etc.). The decor is incredibly stylish and very good quality (let down only slightly by the sofas upstairs not being the most comfortable). The house was spotless and one small issue we had with a broken appliance was fixed the next day. As others have said you’re right in the middle of a beautiful town with lots to see and do for somewhere relatively small. Highly recommend and hope to return (especially when the added features in the basement have been completed).

Great House is a lovely place to stay.It is old and quirky and really big so everyone has loads of space and their own (Website hidden by Airbnb) stocked modern kitchen,lovely raised patio for Al fresco dining and of course the heated pool.On the main Street so handy for the local deli and convenience store We also booked some big shops from Tesco .(Put a sign out for them to find you).

Footprints is a well equipped apartment in a good location.
It provides a good base for a relaxing stay . It is easy to explore other areas of Pembrokeshire from here.
There are several pubs /restaurants in walking distance from the apartment.

What a lovely property! Three double bedrooms, all with en-suites. The house is high-spec with everything supplied that you could wish for. I heartily recommend if you are a Dylan Thomas fan or just want to check out the area. Response to issues was also super-quick.

We had a 3 night stay at Dylan's Den in Laugharne and it was amazing. 4 well appointed en-suite bedrooms and a lovely cosy lounge area and kitchen. Plenty of room for the 7 of us (and our dog)
We were also left a comprehensive welcome pack which was gratefully received. If you haven't been to Laugharne then you really should add it to your list of places to visit. Wonderful.
Jac was very communicative throughout our stay, checking in that all was well, which of course it was, but it we still appreciated the fact he cared. We would love to return to Laugharne one day and would certainly aim to stay at Dylan's Den when we do..Thanks again.

It was very clean and had everything you could wish for. They really have thought of everything it was amazing. The hot tub was appreciated after a busy day exploring.

A lovely quaint cottage in Laugharne. Very clean with great heating which was needed. Had a large kitchen with dining room table and chairs and well appointed. Washer/dryer was great. Main bedroom had a small but lovely en-suite. We went there in winter but found really nice walks around the area and some nice cafes still open. Browns restaurant is def worth a visit. Interior abd food is excellent. The Dylan Coastal Resort was open and we enjoyed lovely meals there. Definitely take a trip to Tenby it’s a beautiful seaside town about a 30 min drive.

Absolutely amazing place, brilliant location and stunning garden. House is well equipped and sparkling clean, we especially loved the bar area brilliant for cocktail making and the amazing Sonos sound system. The garden is so lovely and we made the most of it and had our yoga session outside.
Its an amazing place suitable for any get together , would definitely love to stay again.

The Cottage was stunning and in a fantastic location. Mostly everything you needed was there even bath towels. The rooms were lovely and well presented. The place was welcoming and clean and the view over the river/estury was amazing. Such a peaceful location ideal for families right next to the town, walks, pubs, restaurants, shop, castle and the Dylan Thomas boathouse. Parking is limited around so the 6 car driveway was useful. Communication was excelkent too. We would really recommend.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay from the welcome hamper in the kitchen which was a lovely surprise to the hot tub out the back which we enjoyed.Hazel even popped over after we had checked in to make sure everything was fine for us which was very nice of her,the area was very quiet and peaceful with the lovely views ideal for a relaxing holiday especially with Tenby just 25 minute's drive away we will definitely be booking again next year

We had a great stay with Hugh and Hazel. They'd put a lot of effort into making the home as welcoming to all (including supplies for rainy days). It was comfortable, well stocked (beyond what I'd normally expect) and they'd left us with plenty of recommendations. Couldn't fault them!

We spent two nights in the Corrs house over New Years. The house had everything we needed - if anything, the photos really don't do the house justice and it far exceeded our expectations. We loved the beautiful gardens surrounding the house, the property has a very private, secluded feeling. We wandered around the small town, which was wonderful. We wish we had spent more time here and would love to come back.

The house was very clean and good facilities. Mainly used as a base for sleeping as other family were staying in another property so we spent most 9f our time there. Lovely garden, great place for a bbq had we the chance!

Stayed at Gwalia House with a group of friends. Fantastic place, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The house is ideally situated, just a short stroll from the castle and the centre of town. Will definitely return.

Excellent bungalow, very cosy and well equipped. Dog friendly with fairly secure back garden. Michelle and Helen, the owner were very helpful and suggested good places to eat and visit. Had a delicious dinner at Brown’s Hotel and brilliant fish and chips from the wonderful woman in the local fish and chip shop in Laugharne. A really lovely holiday, thank you.

We had a great time. A lot of internal space, well equipped kitchen, a great den/TV room which was very popular with our teenagers and spacious bedrooms. The garden is beautiful with lots of seating options to catch the sun during the day. A private setting and very peaceful.
Just a few minutes walk to nearby pubs, Laugharne castle and the Dylan Thomas boathouse. A short drive to the vast Pendine beach. EV charger was very convenient - not many public options in the area.
Would definitely stay there again.

It is a place where a car is needed as you cannot really walk anywhere directly from here as there are no paths or public rights of way but without doubt if you need a base to explore Carmarthenshire or Pembrokeshire then this is it. Great Welsh escapes were also very good to deal with and we would recommend them to others.

This house deserves its name ‘Great House’.
Every room is spacious … and there are a lot of them over 4 floors! Special mention for the magnificent bathrooms!
Rooms full of furniture, splendid paintings and impressive pottery on display.
As for the basics: the house was spotlessly clean, gas central heating is very effective (plus a log fire), the huge beds are very comfortable and the kitchen comes well equipped.

It really is a quiet little haven, a short drive from a beautiful coastline.

An amazing find - the perfect one bed apartment with lots of space for 1x person or for a couple. Sandersfoot is a beautiful village, smaller than Tenby and cuter with it. The flat is a 7 min walk down to the village and beach which when busy one welcomes the fact the apartment has its own parking. The accommodation felt almost brand new, wanting for nothing - supplying everything you could want. The bed was ever so comfortable with lovely sheets, the bathroom had great water pressure and brilliantly clean, the kitchen had everything you needed and all with a distant see view. It's also ideally located next to the Coastal Path, 13 mins from a tiny isolated beach. Can't recommend more. Thanks!

Had an absolutely wonderful time at Sunny Bank, an idyllic and private with every single thing you can imagine. We were provided with a full tea service and dinner set, basics for breakfast, bathrobes and towels for the stay as well as towels for the hot tub. I honestly think every possible amenity was thought about and provided. The cottage is on a family farm and you have complete privacy, esp in the hot tub which made the stay perfect for us.
The owners live down the road and when we told them the engine light had come on, on the car, and we needed to find a garage they came over and sorted the car, we needed oil but they also added screen wash and coolent and gave further advice. They went above and beyond.
You also don't have to worry about the hot tub, they come and treat it for you daily.
These are truly good people

We had a lovely and relaxing winter stay at the cottage. Despite sub-zero temperatures we stayed nice and cosy thanks to the log burner and under-floor heating downstairs. Paula was very welcoming and friendly, as were the two farm dogs. We enjoyed exploring the local area and saw Curlews and a Golden Plover murmuration on our walks around Laugharne and Pendine. Would definitely come again.

We had a superb 10 days at Yr Hen Feudy in Llandybie, which completely lived up to our expectations. Our hosts greeted us and showed us around, and nothing was too much trouble. We were grateful for the thoughtful little creature comforts which made our destination into a 'home from home', as well as all the information relating to the area and places of interest. We were blessed with lovely weather as well, enabling us to enjoy walking in the Brecon Beacons as well as along Rhosili Bay. Our Great Welsh Escape provided a much needed opportunity to unplug, rest and relax, restoring both mind and soul. Thank you very much.

The old school house is a beautiful unusual & spacious holiday home. It had everything we needed & is in a quiet location that allowed us to explore the local towns, castles & beaches easily. Travelling with a small child we loved finding the many games tucked away in various cupboards & especially enjoyed the welcome bottle of wine & cake!!

Wildhaven was the best cottage we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many. The views were absolutely stunning and the cottage was large and beautifully furnished. The beds were really comfortable and each bathroom luxurious. The garden was large, fenced, but sadly not secure enough for a determined Cocker Spaniel. It's isolation meant the only sounds were the mountain sheep and the early morning wake up call from the local crows. Our host, Jess was regularly in contact which was so helpful. Our week at Wildhaven has had such a positive impact on us that we will be back next year.

We have visited the area for many years and this was a fabulous apartment from which to explore, easy walking distance to town centre and to access the coastal paths. Place was immaculate with plenty of additional little touches in terms of advice and amenities that enhanced the experience. Apartment is easy to find, light and very spacious with everything you need and more.

Had a fabulous time…Such a lovely, well equipped house. Really tastefully designed and in a perfect spot in Laugharne. We will definitely be back and counting down the days in the meantime!

We are a family of 5 and the house was definitely spacious enough for us. The views are breathtaking and the area is just so beautiful. We took time to enjoy the peace and the beautiful stars at night. The castle wonderful to see and the people were so welcoming and friendly. We would highly recommend.

Everything about this property is great. Hosts are very warm and takes guest's comfort very seriously. We were welcomed with Easter treats and a delicious welsh cake. The instructions booklet provided by host had everything we needed. Rooms were spacious and the kitchen was well equipped. Property had nice positive vibe that you start feeling like dear home instantly.

This lovely house nestled in the middle of the beautiful town of Laugharne is absolutely exceptional in every way. Absolute perfection, the property is luxurious with beautiful furniture and artworks. Located a few yards away from Browns Hotel with parking too. We had the best time and will be booking another trip next year. Cannot recommend highly enough. Five star!!!

I cannot big this properly up enough, the hosts left a lovely welcome basket which was a very lovely and personal touch, Hazel made us feel welcome on arrival and checked everything was okay for us. The property was very cosy and extremely clean, there was robs and towels left for us to use for the hot tub, anything you could think of that you would have needed or wanted was at the property. The property is located in a private area which was amazing for the evenings, however there was an abundance of things for us to do and see through the days just a short drive from the property. There was plenty of restaurants around a ten minute drive away to choose from too. We loved the properly so much we booked an extra nights stay which was so easy to do through the sight. We have already highly recommend the property to friends and family and would surely book the property in the future.

Chapel view is a lovely cottage, super clean and comfortable. Easy parking outside the cottage and within walking distant to shops and places to eat. If you want to stay in and cook the cottage has everything you need.

Our stay in Laugharne was fantastic - the flat was excellent, right in the middle of town, and exactly as described. And I heartily recommend The Ferrymans deli just a few doors down

What a wonderful place for a getaway. Michelle was so helpful and a lovely introduction to Round Park. The village centre is literally 5 mins walk down the lane. Would highly recommend.

The Old School House far exceeded our expectations. It is a beautiful place to stay in. It’s spacious, clean, peaceful & looks stunning.
Clear instructions, especially the tip for using What3Words! The hosts were very responsive when emailed.
We had everything we needed. We spent plenty of time chilling there, but also went to Pendine Beach which was a great place with plenty of space, glorious sand & great views.
There’s a lovely cafe literally next door to the property in a converted barn, great food & friendly hosts.
We spoke to one of the neighbours out walking his dogs & he was friendly & told us to visit Poons Street Cafe in Laugharne but unfortunately we didn’t get chance.
We highly recommend The Old School House.

Llais y Mor in Llansteffan is a gorgeous house with lovely gardens. Would highly recommend this property. Everthing was just perfect.

Very happy with our stay at Lloret this past weekend. Cracking little place, with fantastic views of Laugharne Castle and the estuary. I honestly can’t think of one thing to find fault with!
Hopefully we’ll be returning the same time next year.

The family had a wonderful weekend. The house is perfect for celebrating a family occasion. Very easy to walk to the village and we had a fantastic lunch at Dexter’s. Everything was perfect, fully stocked kitchen even down to tea coffee and sugar plus a welcome hamper! the games room was a great addition perfect for the kids! ..and us 😆. Hot tub was brilliant! would love to go back again!!

A beautiful, spotless home ,in a great location for the best tourist destinations(about 20 mins from Tenby).Dont let the price put you off, its well worth the money. The attention to detail is amazing ,from the power shower (downstairs) to the top quality bedding ,and there is EVERYTHING you need. Only here for 3 nights, but wished we had booked for longer.......

We really loved our long weekend at Footprints. The flat is gorgeous, very comfy and incredibly well equipped. We made the best of the weather with a few walks on the coastal path, some time on the beach and we even braved a sea swim. And then when it got really stormy we felt lovely and cosy in the cottage and enjoyed watching the dramatic weather from window - what a view! We loved the flat and the location, and there's lots of fantastic local eateries as well. We shall be back! :)

A lovely tucked away boathouse that nestles in the beautiful Welsh countryside. Accommodation provides all you need with a peaceful lake right outside. The huge swimming pool you have access to makes for a great rainy day activity.

We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay at Awel Taf. The house was spotlessly clean, had all amenities for a week’s stay. This place is very well placed with a 15 min drive from Carmarthen and also not far from beaches in South Wales. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to visit again.

Helpful and welcoming hosts and friendly local people , not to mention the thoughtful welcome pack which was much appreciated.
A great place to use as a base to explore the area and has a good very long beach , the walk down to the beach is very steep so could be a problem for anyone with mobility issues , best to check tides too as it was not possible to walk on the beach if the tide was in but there are places to eat or drink and just gaze at the sea .
Nearby Laugherne and Narberth are lovely friendly bustling places to visit .

I stayed at The Cors Country House with my family for 4 nights in early September 2021 and I would 100% recommend it to anyone! The Cors is a really stunning place to stay - the house is full of character and very comfortable with lots of fun 'extras' like the pool room, the cinema room and lots of games - and the garden is enormous and very tranquil and beautifully kept! The owners were also very hospitable and responsive and suggested many 'hidden gems' in the nearby area for us to explore, which we loved! We would definitely come back to the Cors or one of the other holiday properties that are available from Great Welsh Escapes - it's a great local company and we 100% recommend them! Great cottage with everything you need for a great time amazing for the value of money and great comfort just like being at home but better loved every part of the holiday and lovely owners greeting us as soon as we got there and checking to make sure we had everything we needed 😁

The accommodation was just what we wanted for a relaxing break with our dogs, just perfect.
Lots of walking from the door and only a short drive to lots of different areas including the coast.

Die Wohnung liegt zentral. Der Ausblick ist phänomenal. Die Küche ist spartanisch ausgestattet. Insgesamt ist die Wohnung etwas leer. Man hat das Gefühl das das was nicht da ist auch nicht gestohlen werden kann. Fernseher ist allerdings perfekt. Internet gut.

We had the most wonderful week at The Barn and Chaffhouse. Such a beautiful property, and amazingly well equipped! Every little detail had been thought of - plentiful supply of crockery, cutlery and (very importantly) wine glasses! Large, thick, soft towels. Powerful showers. Full suite of modern appliances. Beautiful log burner with wood supplied (although the heating was so good we only lit it once for effect!). Excellent wifi, smart tv with Netflix. Great views over surrounding countryside and we were lucky to see some action on the firing range - we didn’t find this noisy or intrusive at all, just exciting! Garden is nicely enclosed and really well kept. All in all, cannot fault this place. Looking forward to a return visit.

Absolutely beautiful house in a stunning location with amazing views of the sea and countryside.
We visited with 2 children aged 10 and 12. All had a brilliant time visiting the local beaches and just enjoying the lovely cottage.

We had days out in Tenby and Pendine, as well as a beautiful walk down to Amroth beach. The house is welcoming and felt like home straight away, the hosts left us some lovely tea, coffee and other items as a nice surprise when we arrived. We had everything we needed for our stay, and we’re able to pop out to the local co op for food and drink during the week, about a 10 minute drive away.

Fantastic break at Brofallen and none of us wanted to leave!!

The team enjoyed their stay, beds were super comfy. The housekeeper sent a note regarding plastic in a very old frying pan.

A magical few days on this working farm. Our daughter loved seeing the lambs and we enjoyed fresh milk from the cows. The views across the river were breathtaking and our hosts couldn’t have made us feel more at home. We loved it.

Footprints apartment had everything you needed for a perfect stay, and then some. Great location, comfortable and exceptionally well equipped and spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed.
Would not hesitate to return and great value.

The Old School was exactly as described. It is a lovely location, ideal for walkers.

Lovely barn with everything you would need inside. Clean and tidy rooms. Great location for travelling around the area, with Tenby, Fishgaurd and Milford haven close by. We had a lovely Chinese at Pendine too.

Beautiful property (as good or better than the photos suggest!). Any issues we had were answered immediately and we really enjoyed the basket of local treats waiting for us on arrival!
We would thoroughly recommend this property and Great Welsh Escapes.

Lovely spacious and well equipped house in a beautiful setting. It offered everything we needed to settle in and relax for a long weekend, with the ability to verge out for local walks to the beach and castle. Would recommend for large groups - great outdoor area as well as large drive for parking.

We really enjoyed our stay in Tenby, the property was great and really roomy. We would definitely return. The only negative I would say is the camera in the back garden, it felt a little intrusive when you're trying to relax.

Very well appointed house with all mod cons. Tons of parking space - and an easy woodland amble down to the metropolis that is Laugharne.
Great village stores for all the things you forgot and a friendly neighbour (we couldn’t track down) who let in the grocery delivery which pitched up 24 hours early!

We’ve Just had a superb week at this lovely property near the beach. All the decor is warm and cosy, mattresses are incredibly comfortable with beautiful linen and towels . The kitchen, which is brand new was so well equipped, more than my own kitchen! We didn’t want for anything. The house was immaculately clean throughout.
We were lucky enough to have some blue skies with a view across the sea. Will be returning to enjoy the Sunny garden in the warmer months.

Amazing huge house. Had a great time with all the family, rooms large enough for us all to sit together and the house was large enough for us all to have space. Kids and I really enjoyed the pool.

Our stay at The Old School House in Carmarthenshire was unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place was something special.
The open-plan kitchen and dining area, with underfloor heating and a boiling water tap, was impressive, and we were greeted with a lovely hamper.
The living room had a cosy sofa facing an 83-inch OLED TV with a great sound system. Every detail in the bedrooms, bathrooms, and en-suites was finished to the highest standard.
The hot tub was a perfect way to end the day, and it was here my partner proposed—I’m happy to say, I said yes!
The house is easy to find, with ultra-fast gigabit broadband and immaculate cleanliness.
We truly loved our stay and look forward to returning one day. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

Our stay at Gwalia House was great. A fabulous house with everything you need. Comfortable, spotlessly clean and very well equipped kitchen. Plenty of pubs to choose from in the village and lots of blustery beach walks a few miles away. I would highly recommend.

Lovely place, well decorated and styled. Had everything we needed. Great location and easy to get to. We just wanted a little break and to get a way for a few days. This little place is perfect for a chilled couple’s getaway and is very well placed for walking weekends and visiting the home of Dylan Thomas.

In house was everything what we need. Was very cosy, clean and we felt like in own house from first hour

Hazel really does go above and beyond, we stayed for a romantic weekend and the house is so quiet and serene and peaceful. Hazel popped round on our arrival to show us everything and talk us through the local things to see and do, really super helpful. The hot tub is simple to use, the surroundings are beautiful, clear sky for sunset in the horizon as well as completely clear starry nights.

100% couldn’t recommend this place more, well defo becoming back!
