Small but very well done, only surprise was just a microwave for cooking, no hob. But fine for breakfast! Milk in fridge on arrival plus Welsh cakes which was nice.

It was a good place, we had a good time and the owner was very communicative and very helpful.
We had issues with wifi not working during our stay, looks like it was an BT issue (BT were called and attended but couldn't rectify the issue). Which did rob us off some quality time in the evenings.
If not everything was really good.

The cottage was in a great location, close to the shops, restaurants, castle and Dylan's boat house. The facilities in the cottage were good. It was a nice touch to have a welcome pack on arrival.

My partner is tall and we did struggle with the double bed, would have liked a king-size, however we were fully aware of this when booking.

This house deserves its name ‘Great House’.
Every room is spacious … and there are a lot of them over 4 floors! Special mention for the magnificent bathrooms!
Rooms full of furniture, splendid paintings and impressive pottery on display.
As for the basics: the house was spotlessly clean, gas central heating is very effective (plus a log fire), the huge beds are very comfortable and the kitchen comes well equipped.

Had a great stay here! The house had everything I needed and was super clean. Loved how peaceful and relaxing it was, especially with the hot tub. It’s in a great spot too—not far from the beaches. Would definitely stay again!

Although it's in MOD land, that didn't get in the way as we spent most of our daytime before 4pm, at a nearby beach at Pendine. Also we wanted somewhere out of the way, that would be quiet, without other holiday makers around. The owners have gone to a lot of effort with nice touches and quality of kitchen facilities was important to us as we prefer having evening meals made by ourselves. The walk in shower and bathtub is big. We enjoyed the fire pit outside at night and everything here was high quality.

We found the kitchen well equipped and spacious and the lounge cosy in the evenings. Beds were comfy and we used all 3 bedrooms. The location is good with easy access to walking paths. Laugharne was quieter than we had anticipated for early July and not all businesses were open, e.g. the fish and chip shop was open at lunchtime but closed in the evening. As other reviewers have commented, we did not find it possible to park in the street near the house during our stay. We used the washing machine and an outdoor washing line would have been useful.
There is a garden/outside space but we didn’t use it as we didn’t have great weather.
Great Welsh Escapes were easy to contact and helpful. We would happily book via them again if we were to revisit Wales.

location great for exploring the south Wales area, which is a lovely part of the world. Easy access to Laugharne but outside the village, so very quiet. The apartment is perfect for a couple and the hosts are so thoughtful.

The Old School House far exceeded our expectations. It is a beautiful place to stay in. It’s spacious, clean, peaceful & looks stunning.
Clear instructions, especially the tip for using What3Words! The hosts were very responsive when emailed.
We had everything we needed. We spent plenty of time chilling there, but also went to Pendine Beach which was a great place with plenty of space, glorious sand & great views.
There’s a lovely cafe literally next door to the property in a converted barn, great food & friendly hosts.
We spoke to one of the neighbours out walking his dogs & he was friendly & told us to visit Poons Street Cafe in Laugharne but unfortunately we didn’t get chance.
We highly recommend The Old School House.

Very well equipped and homely accommodation and immaculately clean. Rural spot for being in a town so private and quiet idea for families and local coastal towns sych as Tenby, Pendine, Saundersfoot & Laugharne are a stone's throw away. Very enjoyable. My only very slight grumble (but I can't complain as it is as advertised) is that there is only one bathroom/loo for 8 guests but it was not a problem..we were 2 families including 4 children of varying ages....that said we'd definitely return and would highly recommend it for acquiet base for exploring the area.

We have just had a fantastic 4 night stay at Awel Taf and couldn't have asked for anything better. Perfect location to accommodate family for a wedding, excellent facilities and the owners were close at hand if we needed anything at all. Loved the welcome gifts which were an unexpected bonus 😀. One word - amazing. Is how I would describe this place. Peaceful and beautiful, this place is perfectly located to the west of the national park in the Black Mountains. Which is amazing for long walks great for the dog. The place itself is stunning, clean and well maintained.

A lovely house, with fantastic gardens. Perfect place to stay and relax for a week with three generations of our family getting together. Minutes walk into town, plenty to do in the area and it’s such a nice place to stay you’ll be happy just staying in, even when it’s raining. If anything, it’s even nicer than it looks in the photos - though we were also lucky with the sunshine.

We found the beds really comfy, enjoyed the living room and kitchen areas as this allowed us all to gather in one space (6 of us). Our group also really enjoyed the hot tub too! We loved all the little details that had been put into the home, it really was a great experience!

We had a lovely stay. As a family if 6 with two teenagers and two younger children the house was spacious and met all of our needs. Beautifully presented and clean. Well resourced kitchen. Beds were very comfortable with plenty of living space available for all.

Our stay was very nice to have some relaxing down time with family the weather was very kind to us although the forecast was poor the bungalow was very clean plenty of kitchen utensils for those who wish to cook fantastic views of the castle and estuary there are some very nice places to eat in the village. The only thing we couldn’t find was a mop as one day it had rained so you can mop the floor and it mentioned that there was a dryer in the utility?? One other thing as it took us over four hours to get from the Midlands we didn’t have a problem getting in at 4pm but we all thought to make sure we were packed and left the house as we found it 10am check out is a little early we didn’t even have time for breakfast before our long journey 12pm would have been more convenient and less stressful

Took elderly parents for 5 day break. Location was spot on. To look out at laugharne castle and the estuary through the living room window was awesome and watching the mist rolling up the estuary in the early morning. House was so well equipped, everything you could need. Would definitely go back.

Excellent location (right on the harbour and near the town centre, but not noisy). Not a 'luxurious' accommodation, if that's what you're after, but perfect for a beach side holiday - practical, clean, cosy, well equipped. Lots to do, right on your doorstep, including an excellent Italian restaurant! We were very happy with our holiday there.

What a place the Great House is! We were two families with young kids and a dog and it was amazing, plenty of space for us all the kids loved exploring the different rooms at night with a torch!
The location was perfect with a short walk to Browns and the new pizza place, which is worth going to. We can’t wait to book again in the summer and make the most of the outdoor pool and walled garden! Thank you for an amazing stay.

Laugharne a lovely, quirky village, enjoyed strolling by the estuary in the evenings. Good location to explore the local area, great beach for families at Pendine and only 30 minutes from Tenby.

The cottage was completely immaculate, making us feel like we were the first guests ever to stay there. Walking through into the kitchen, we were greeted with delicious Welsh goodies in a thoughtful and much appreciated welcome-hamper, (including milk and juice in the fridge for the all-important post-travelling cuppa), and this pretty much set the tone for the perfect break-away!
From the super-comfy beds, which induced us all to lie-in of a morning, to the fabulous hot-tub with breathtaking views, which allowed us quality re-connecting time as a family with two teenagers, Sunnybank Cottage was perfect for a relaxing break as a family. We genuinely couldn't have asked for me - thank you for sharing your beautiful corner of the world with us.

What a perfect apartment, great location, superbly comfortable, stylishly furnished & decorated, all the facilities we could need. Definitely worth a return visit.

Initially awkward to find, the parking space was very narrow, toilet roll holder in awkward position.

We stayed for 3 nights here as an extended family. Welcome pack on arrival - House had everything we needed as a large group (10). Games facilities were amazing - all in a self contained area and hot tub put to good use overlooking beautiful Welsh scenery.

We loved staying at this place! The upstairs living area was clean and tidy- loads of dishes and containers we could use. TV was a great size to cosy up on the couch and watch the sunset over the castle. We were there on the day the market was- which was nice. There is a great hour long coastal walk which is beautiful. Check out the days the Laugharne Castle is open- because for a couple days a week it’s closed and when you’re staying near by- you’ll definitely want to check out the castle you see each day.
Loved that both rooms had a private en-suite too and that there was an additional loo upstairs. Highly recommend this place to stay

A really nice, well presented property. Spotlessly clean, with all amenities provided. Wonderful shower will plenty of hot water. Nice, fully enclosed courtyard garden which our dogs made full use of. The surrounding countryside and beach is perfect The owners were very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. Hanna was the perfect host and helped us with anything we needed and was understanding when a few things happened (our toddler may have taken a remote back home with us🤦‍♀️) can’t recommend this place enough! The Boathouse was exactly as described and decorated for Christmas when we arrived.
The pool was bigger than expected but perfect to use each day for kids working on their swimming and water confidence.
The host, Richard, was always available, friendly and chatty with the kids when they showed an interest in the animals.

Our week at the Cors was our first family holiday for three years. It is a lovely, interesting house and there is plenty to do in Laugharne and the surrounding area. We had a really good time. Thank you to Jac and the team at GWE for all your help.

Very cosy and tidy house. Very quiet surroundings and a bit to drive for the more interesting to-dos (beaches, castles/houses/gardens) of the region.

We are a family of 5 and the house was definitely spacious enough for us. The views are breathtaking and the area is just so beautiful. We took time to enjoy the peace and the beautiful stars at night. The castle wonderful to see and the people were so welcoming and friendly. We would highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful setting for us. Felt quite and out the way but still close enough to grab groceries. We had a car so we was happy to drive to the top beaches in wales each day from here was around 50 minutes really happy with our pick with this one Highly recommended

We had a wonderful stay at Sunny Bank with two children, the bungalow is lovely. It feels like everything is brand-new and we are the first people to stay there, everything was so clean!
We loved:

There is loads to do in the area, we were here for a week and went to:
- Folly Farm
- Local beaches which are all fabulous, especially Llansteffan with the fish & chips

- Tenby
I highly recommend staying here it is a wonderful place, really well located, and the hosts Hazel and High are so nice and have such a great attention to detail.

Situated by a working farm, it is very quiet and peaceful. Hardly noticed the farm workings. It is on MOD land, thus you feel very safe as access to the area is very controlled. From 16.00 you can go to the beach, when we were their it was ourselves and four others. The accommodation is very spacious and spotless, although the internet is patchy.
For a quiet unwind this place is absolutely ideal.
For a great meal head to the Jabajak vineyard.

Some hosts can be pushy or OTT but Great Welsh Escapes weren’t like that at all.

We were given all the info we needed, before we needed it and knew who to contact if we needed to (which we didn’t).

We had a great a family Christmas time at The Old House. We enjoyed our stay and loved the house.

The property is spacious, stylish and well maintained. Rear garden was a nice space and if we had had more time we would have made good use of the decking area overlooking fields at the back.

The Cors is really a very special place in the fabulous town of Laugharne. Close to two very good pubs, an excellent Thai restaurant and a good Deli. What makes the holiday is the house with its fabulous grounds. Clean ,well equipped, very generous welcome pack and responsive host. Highly recommended.

A beautiful house In a lovely quiet village. We always go away for a summer family week with our grown up kids and their partners and this house was big enough for them to all have their space and a kitchen and outdoor space for us to come together for big family meals .we had poor weather and there upstairs starting area was good for film night The enclosed garden was good for our two dogs.

The Cottage was stunning and in a fantastic location. Mostly everything you needed was there even bath towels. The rooms were lovely and well presented. The place was welcoming and clean and the view over the river/estury was amazing. Such a peaceful location ideal for families right next to the town, walks, pubs, restaurants, shop, castle and the Dylan Thomas boathouse. Parking is limited around so the 6 car driveway was useful. Communication was excelkent too. We would really recommend.

We’ve Just had a superb week at this lovely property near the beach. All the decor is warm and cosy, mattresses are incredibly comfortable with beautiful linen and towels . The kitchen, which is brand new was so well equipped, more than my own kitchen! We didn’t want for anything. The house was immaculately clean throughout.
We were lucky enough to have some blue skies with a view across the sea. Will be returning to enjoy the Sunny garden in the warmer months.

We spent a few days in Wales.
The accommodation is beautifully located, quiet, and checking in and out at the security gate is no problem!
The beach is 2 meters away, but it's easy to reach by car! We didn't mind that it's only accessible after 4:00 PM on weekdays. Then you practically have it to yourself!
We were the only guests, but four people are no problem.
The accommodation is just as pictured.
If we visit Wales again, we'll definitely stay in this accommodation.

What a beautiful spot on earth! After being away from Wales for 8 years, we were looking for a special place to return...and "The Lookout at Goscar" absolutely delivered...spectacular views over the harbour and North Beach...comfortable beds, nice kitchen...situated in the middle of town a stone throw away from the beach.
Tenby is such a beautiful place, with lonely mornings at spectacular beaches, boat tours to see Seals and busy pub live and sweets shops for the little ones.
All in all we had perfect holidays with our little daughter...we will be back!

Just returned from a three day stay here. Beautiful accommodation everything you need for a good time

So warm and cosy and a total home from home experience! We made use of the board games Charlotte left out and went for walks in the private woodlands. The younger children loved the swings, the fairy doorway and the mud kitchen! Charlotte had left a beautiful tree and other Christmas decorations. We loved the big open living space which was ideal for having family visiting. They also loved the barn! We very much hope to return next year.

Very happy with our stay at Lloret this past weekend. Cracking little place, with fantastic views of Laugharne Castle and the estuary. I honestly can’t think of one thing to find fault with!
Hopefully we’ll be returning the same time next year.

The boat house is exactly as described, there is lots of outside space which was perfect for the dogs and fully fenced.
The house is on the small side, but had everything we needed. There is little headspace upstairs, but was fine for our two boys.
Having the pool to ourselves was amazing and it is huge!

Location is perfect, 15 mins max to the beach. Chip shop, shop and pub within a 5 min drive.
